Our Team

Principals:

Ian and Tim formed Mitchell Meredith in 1995 having worked together for many years.

Both are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and have extensive experience of advising owner managed and family owned businesses.

Marian became a principal on the 1 January 2011, having worked with the firm for many years. Marian is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has extensive experience of advising owner managed and family owned businesses.

Ian, Tim and Marian are also Directors of the firm and deal with long term strategic planning and the more complicated aspects of clients affairs, together with developing our full range of added value services

Corporate Team:

Andrew is also a Director of the Firm and has great experience of the audit and accounts requirements of limited companies and specializes in dealing with charities and solicitors.

Mike is also a corporate client manager experienced in dealing with the audit and accounts requirements of limited companies.

Gethyn is a corporate client manager. He is a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians and is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Emme is part of our corporate team. She has a first class honours degree in Mathematics from The University of Wales Aberystwyth. She is a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians and is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Marina is part of our corporate team. She is a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians and is a Association of Chartered Certified Accountants finalist, having successfully passed all relevant exams.

Paul supports our corporate team in producing accounts together with company administration and information technology.

Richard supports our corporate team in producing accounts together with company administration and is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Client Managers:

Our personal client managers play a key role in the efficient handling of our clients affairs.

All our personal client managers supervise the preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships as well as dealing with all work related to Self Assessment Returns and general taxation matters.

Gareth is a Director of the firm, having a particular interest in agriculture with a farming background and deals mainly with the South Wales area.

Kevin is also a Director of the firm, having a particular interest in agriculture, running his own smallholding, and deals mainly with the Mid and North Wales area.

Tracey specializes in dealing with sole traders, partnerships and their tax affairs, and deals mainly with the North and Mid Wales area. She is a member is of The Association of Accounting Technicians.

Denise specializes in dealing with sole traders, partnerships and their tax affairs, and deals mainly with the Mid and South Wales area.

Lynne specializes in dealing with sole traders, partnerships and their tax affairs, and deals mainly with the Mid Wales area.

Toni specializes in dealing with sole traders, partnerships and their tax affairs, and deals mainly with the Abergavenny area. She is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Accounts Assistants:

Lisa, Emma and David provide the essential support to our client managers in accounts preparation, VAT returns and monthly management information.

Lisa is the first point of contact in our Merthyr Tydfil Office.

Emma has a BA honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Glamorgan.

David is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Sage training and Bookkeeping

Louise provides advice on installation and implementation of bookkeeping software and provides training on a one-to-one basis in Sage. Louise also oversees bookkeeping completed by both our own staff and by our client's staff.

Rebecca is currently studying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Rebecca is our dedicated bookkeeper who, along with other staff, completes bookkeeping duties on behalf of clients either at their premises or within the office.

Payroll:

Teresa heads our payroll department dealing with all aspects of Pay As You Earn for clients. This enables clients to concentrate on running their business knowing that the ever increasing burden and complexity of payroll legislation is being well looked after.

Donna is an essential part of our payroll department. She has a BSCEcon honours degree in Accountancy and Finance with Law from Aberystwyth University.

Administration:

Barbara operates a pivotal administrative role upon which all our offices and our clients rely. Barbara originates from South Africa.

Reception:

Your first point of contact with our firm will very often be with our friendly and efficient receptionists.

Fran is the first point of contact in our Llandrindod Wells Office and deals with all aspects of reception.

Karen is the first point of contact in our Brecon Office and deals with all aspects of reception.
