Autumn Budget

Taking place on the 29th October, the latest Budget will be the last before crucial talks with the European Union regarding Brexit. Early predictions have indicated that the Chancellor may again cut the dividend tax-free allowance, the pensions annual allowance may also be cut and there may be an overhaul of the rules regarding national insurance contributions.

Making Tax Digital

From 1st April 2019 VAT registered businesses will be required to keep their records digitally and submit their VAT returns to HMRC using compatible software. We will have the latest information from HMRC regarding the new rules and how they will apply to your business. With only a maximum of three VAT quarters before compliance with the new regulations it is important that decisions are made about how your business is going to comply. We will have members of our team available to discuss the options for your business as well as having demo software on hand to give you an indication of our recommended software options.

It would be helpful if you could let us know if you would like to attend. If you would like more information, please contact Matthew Richardson by email at matthew@mitchellmeredith.co.uk or call 01597 824855.
